3. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use personal data to:

Phone Calls & Event Invitations

If you sign up or apply, we collect your phone number to call you, discuss your application, and invite you to events. Outbound marketing calls require your prior consent (captured through the third-party intake/booking tool used when you apply) — you can withdraw it at any time, by telephone or by emailing info@siaangelhub.com, and we will stop calling you.

We do not use AI tools to process personal data such as your application, contact, or call details — these are handled and stored manually (for example, in internal spreadsheets). Separately, some content on this Website — such as text, images, or other materials — may have been created or assisted by AI tools; this does not involve your personal data.

See the dedicated GDPR Compliance section below for the legal basis relied on for each category of processing.

5. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell personal data. We may share it with:

Every third party we share data with is contractually required to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (including Google and Microsoft) may process personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. For example, application data submitted through the Website is stored in Google Sheets. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the service provider's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to ensure your data remains protected to EU standards.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including:

8. Your Rights

See the GDPR Compliance section below for the full list of your rights and how to exercise them.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, we will notify you directly.

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove tools from the Website. Check back periodically for updates.

GDPR Compliance

SIA Angel Hub has a genuinely international audience (testimonials and applicants from the EU, UK, and beyond), so this section applies GDPR as the baseline standard site-wide rather than only to EU visitors.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with equivalent protections, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@siaangelhub.com. We will respond within one month, as required by GDPR.

Data Protection Officer / EU Representative

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as our processing activities do not meet the GDPR's criteria requiring one. For any data protection question or request, use the contact details above.

International Transfers

As noted in the Privacy Policy, data processed by Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, and Google Sheets, where application data is stored) and Microsoft (Clarity) may leave the EEA. Both companies self-certify under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or rely on Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data remains protected to EU standards.

Use of AI

We do not currently use AI tools to process personal data — applications and enquiries are reviewed and stored manually (for example, in internal spreadsheets). If this changes, we will update this Policy to describe the new processing and its legal basis, including appropriate safeguards against solely automated decision-making under Article 22, before it begins.

Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA)

Our current processing activities are not likely to result in a high risk to individuals, so a formal Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) is not required. If we introduce processing that may result in a high risk (for example, collecting special-category data or identity documents), we will carry out a DPIA before it begins.
